Luminous Casino Identity Verification

Learn when Luminous Casino verification may be required, which identity, address and payment documents can be requested, and how long review may take.

4 min readEnglish18+

Luminous Casino may require identity verification and supporting documents before betting or withdrawing funds, and some account options may be restricted until the requested information has been received. Identity evidence can include a passport, national identity card or driving licence showing your photo, name and date of birth. Document verification can take up to seven days.

When Verification May Be Required

Verification is not limited to one fixed point in account use. Luminous Casino may request verification and supporting documents before you place bets or withdraw funds.

If requested information has not yet been provided, account options may be restricted until it is received. This makes verification a condition that can affect access to particular account functions rather than simply a one-off registration formality.

Before a withdrawal, further identity checks may also be requested. The specific withdrawal rules are covered on the withdrawal rules page.

Identity, Address and Payment Documents

The type of evidence requested depends on what needs to be verified. The accepted document classes cover identity, address and ownership of a payment method.

Verification Check Accepted Evidence
Identity A passport, national identity card or driving licence showing a photo, name and date of birth.
Address A utility bill, bank statement or government correspondence issued within the previous three months.
Payment ownership Bank statements or screenshots showing ownership of the payment method.

These are accepted forms of evidence for their respective checks. They do not mean that every user must submit every listed document type at the same time.

Payment verification is particularly relevant where ownership of the payment source needs to be demonstrated. The related deposit payment ownership rules explain the requirement for deposits to come from a payment source registered in the user's own name.

Proof of Identity

For identity verification, accepted evidence can include a passport, national identity card or driving licence. The document should establish the holder's identity through a photo, name and date of birth.

  • Passport
  • National identity card
  • Driving licence

Whichever accepted identity document is used, the relevant identifying information needs to be clear enough to establish the photo, name and date of birth shown on it.

Enhanced Due Diligence Checks

Some situations can lead to enhanced due diligence, often shortened to EDD. Accepted triggers include PEP or high-risk-jurisdiction status, transactions above $10,000, linked transactions above $10,000, and unusual or complex transaction patterns.

Where enhanced due diligence applies, additional measures can include:

  • checks on source of funds;
  • checks on source of wealth;
  • additional identification; and
  • more frequent monitoring.

The trigger and the possible measure are separate parts of the verification framework. A particular trigger does not by itself establish that every listed EDD measure will always be applied in that case.

Verification Review Time

Document verification can take up to seven days. This is an upper review timeframe stated for document verification, not a promise that every review will take the same amount of time or finish earlier.

If documents have been requested, it is useful to check that the information shown is readable and consistent with the account details before submitting it. That practical check does not change the stated review period or determine the outcome of verification.

Checks Before a Withdrawal

Luminous Casino may request additional identity checks before a withdrawal. These can include photo ID, confirmation of address, a selfie or a verification call.

  • Photo identification may be requested.
  • Address confirmation may be requested.
  • A selfie may be requested.
  • A verification call may be requested.

These are possible checks rather than a universal requirement for every withdrawal. Identity checks may also be carried out at other times, so verification is not restricted exclusively to the withdrawal stage.
